A new and distinct cultivar of Xerochrysum plant named ‘Bonxer 1842’, characterized by its upright and mounding plant habit; vigorous growth habit; freely flowering habit; semi-double type inflorescences with white-colored involucral bracts; and strong peduncles that hold the inflorescences above and beyond the foliar plane.
