Abstract

A new cultivar of Weigela florida , ‘Verwof 1’, characterized by its compact plant habit, its flower buds that are red in color and flowers that are purple-pink in color, its summer foliage that is green with a strong orange to bronze tinge and its autumn foliage that is burgundy red to crimson red in color.
