Abstract
A new and distinct variety of Vanda plant named ‘SPCDW1609’ which is characterized by broad foliage, numerous large flowers borne on a tall inflorescence, flower petals and sepals with a tan base color, petals and sepals which are heavily dotted and blotched with an intense dark purple, a labellum with a dark purple central lobe and yellow lateral lobes which are radially striped dark purple, and the stability of these characteristics from generation to generation.
