Abstract

A new and distinct cultivar of Sansevieria plant named ‘HANSOTI56’ is disclosed, characterized highly variegated foliage with an overall bright creamy yellow coloration of the leaf and a contrasting, broad central greyish-green band. The new cultivar can be classified in the Compact Sansevieria Group type Sansevieria and reaches about 25 to 30 cm in height at maturity, making it a shorter cultivar in this group. Plants are ready to sell in about 3 to 4 months from a rooted liner, having 10 to 15 leaves. Foliage is softer, thinner and more pliable than typical in the Compact Sansevieria Group. The new variety is a Sansevieria , typically produced as an ornamental plant.
