A new and distinct Physocarpus cultivar named ‘POIPD2’ is disclosed, characterized by a smaller plant size, with a round, compact habit. Foliage is small and distinctively burgundy. Plants exhibit good mildew resistance. The new variety is a Physocarpus , normally produced as an outdoor garden or container plant.
