A new and distinct Physocarpus cultivar named ‘SMNPOTWG’ is disclosed, characterized by a small plant form, early flowering, smaller leaves, mildew resistance and abundant red-purple colored flowers, maturing to white. The new variety is a Physocarpus , normally produced as an outdoor garden or container plant.
