A new and distinct variety of Phalaenopsis plant named ‘PHA407209’, particularly characterized by having attractive reddish-purple flowers with small, lighter purple edges and reddish-purple lips, flowers that are flat in lateral view, lip curvature of lateral lobe is medium, leaf symmetry of apex is strongly asymmetric, and is propagated by meristem tissue culture, is disclosed.
