Abstract
The new and distinct cultivar of ornamental, winter-hardy, beardtongue plant, Penstemon ‘Onyx and Pearls’ with strictly upright, tightly-compact strong stems, numerous pale-purple to near-white flowers for about four weeks contrasting with dark purple foliage that retains its coloration through the season. Useful in the landscape as a specimen plant, en masse or container plant, and attractive to hummingbirds.
