Abstract

The new and distinct cultivar of ornamental, winter-hardy, beardtongue plant, Penstemon ‘Midnight Masquerade’ with strictly upright, tightly-compact strong stems, strong purple flowers for about four weeks and dark purple foliage that retains its coloration through the season. Useful in the landscape as a specimen plant, en masse or container plant, and attractive to hummingbirds.
