A new and distinct cultivar of Nelumbo plant named ‘Cenghong Dingcui’, characterized by its upright plant habit; moderately vigorous growth habit; large medium green-colored leaves; freely flowering habit; and large red purple and lighter red purple bi-colored globose-shaped flowers that are positioned above the foliar plane on moderately strong and erect peduncles.
