A new and distinct variety of peach tree which is distinguished by producing fruit having a freestone rather than a clingstone, with the fruit ripening for harvest approximately September 7-21 in a normal year.

What is claimed is: 1. A new and distinct variety of peach tree as described and illustrated which is somewhat similar to ‘Calara’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 15,496), from which it is distinguished by producing fruit having a freestone rather than a clingstone, that ripens at the beginning of the harvesting period of ‘Calara’, with good exterior coloration and very good eating quality which are mature for commercial harvesting and shipment approximately September 7-21 in a normal year.
