A new and distinct cultivar of Mandevilla plant named ‘QD5’, characterized by its compact, broadly upright to vining plant habit; moderately vigorous to vigorous growth habit; freely branching habit; dense and bushy appearance; dark green-colored leaves; freely flowering habit; and relatively large red purple-colored flowers with orange yellow-colored throats.
