A new and distinct Lagerstroemia cultivar named ‘SMLIPURPLE101’ is disclosed, characterized by early flowering of vibrant purple blooms, compact plant stature and good branching. Plants are floriferous. The new variety is a Lagerstroemia , normally used for ornamental horticulture purposes.
