A new and distinct cultivar of Lagerstroemia plant named ‘Purple Magic’, characterized by its compact, rounded to upright intermediate growth habit, reddish new growth, lustrous dark green foliage in summer, purple flowers, and resistance to powdery mildew and Cercospora leaf spot.
