Abstract

A new and distinct cultivar of hibiscus plant named ‘DUP-GTP’, characterized by glossy, dark green leaves, upright growth, and large flowers having a pinkish-purple center zone which lacks the dark red eye color common in many hibiscus varieties, grading into a pinkish-red intermediate zone which extends to approximately 75 percent of the petal length and grades to a bright yellow-orange edge. The bloom may have a small number of oblong flecks of yellow extending radially, particularly in the pinkish red zone.
