A new cultivar of Gaura plant named ‘SME-2’ characterized by dense, upright habit, green and purple-red foliage, purple-red flower stalks and rose-pink flowers. In combination these traits set ‘SME-2’ apart from all other existing varieties of Gaura known to the inventor.
