The following is claimed: 1. A new and distinct variety of apricot tree of large size, vigorous upright growth and a regular and productive bearer of very large, firm yellow flesh, freestone fruit with excellent eating quality and the ability to ship to long distance markets; the apricot tree is further characterized when compared to the Flaming Gold Apricot Tree (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 2,822) as having a more uniform distribution of fruit within the center of the tree and a more uniform ripening of the fruit throughout the tree.
