Abstract
A new and distinct variety of apricot tree which is denominated varietally as "Judy's Delight" and which is somewhat similar to the Katy Apricot Tree (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 4,339), with which it is most closely related, the subject variety characterized as to novelty by producing large fruit which have a light orange skin color and an orange flesh color and which are mature for commercial harvesting and shipment approximately May 15 through May 30 in the San Joaquin Valley of Central California.

Having thus described and illustrated our new variety of apricot tree, what is claimed as new and desired to be secured by Letters Patent is: 1. A new and distinct variety of apricot tree substantially as illustrated and described and which is somewhat similar to the Katy Apricot Tree (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 4,339) with which it is most closely related in its date of harvesting but from which it is distinguished therefrom and characterized principally as to novelty by bearing fruit which are larger in size and have a uniform skin color which is a lighter shade of orange than that characteristically displayed by the fruit produced by the Katy Apricot Tree, the fruit of the subject variety ripening for commercial harvesting and shipment approximately May 15 through May 30 in the San Joaquin Valley of central California.
